Sometimes these posts get down to the core me before I even realize where its headed! And touching someone else's life with something from my life, is truly more than I ever expected from writing a blog....Mellodeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07515414035373189099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-522929750944577069.post-13362924276456099152010-03-09T18:54:15.916-06:002010-03-09T18:54:15.916-06:00Mellodee, this post brought tears to my eyes. You...Mellodee, this post brought tears to my eyes. You can sure tell a story! It breaks my heart to think that you regret not letting him sing along. If he was anything like you, I suspect he knew he couldn't sing and began singing with y'all just to get your reaction and continue the family joke. He was such a handsome man. So sorry you lost him so early in life. laurieBargain Decorating with Lauriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13582640485560903639noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-522929750944577069.post-27479785646205600542010-03-06T17:01:40.481-06:002010-03-06T17:01:40.481-06:00I feel the same way about my mom not being able to...I feel the same way about my mom not being able to see my kids grow up, not knowing her great-grandchildren, not seeing my brother get married and have four kids. So many things and there are still times when I feel a twinge of anger that we can't share our lives with her. By the way, she also loved to sing.

Funny about your dad, My first college love was like that. He told me that he was in a church choir and the priest would come up behind him and say, "Just mouth the words, son."Sandihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12928778874657387483noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-522929750944577069.post-60949510195150553872010-03-06T16:50:55.824-06:002010-03-06T16:50:55.824-06:00I'd forgotten that, thanks for reminding me!I'd forgotten that, thanks for reminding me!Mellodeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07515414035373189099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-522929750944577069.post-31412863313020691812010-03-06T15:34:34.835-06:002010-03-06T15:34:34.835-06:00Me too. It's one of the last things he got to do before he died that night - listen to us sing Christmas carols while we were washing the dishes.
